Heatwise was created for you to practice hot vinyasa yoga in a clean, comfortable space with feel-good music and top-tier instructors. Their priority is delivering a stress-free experience from end to end. Owner and Founder Samantha Scupp hails from the film industry, and over time became obsessed with creating the ideal hot yoga experience. She relied on the practice to manage stress, but failed to connect with a studio she could call home. By elevating the standard for hot yoga studios in New York, Heatwise offers premium quality, comfort, and the city's most talented instructors.

Keela is a yoga instructor based in New York City teaching vinyasa at multiple studios in Brooklyn. She completed her 200 hour teacher training in 2015 in Koh Lanta, Thailand through Jai Yoga Arts and is a graduate of I.AM.YOU’s finishing school led by Lauren Imparato. Keela spends part of her year in Koh Lanta, Thailand teaching vinyasa, yin and kid’s yoga at Oasis Yoga Bungalows. Keela’s classes are athletic, intentional, challenging and playful. She creatively uses music in her classes to inspire movement, encourage students to express themselves, to linger in the space in between and to find grace in transition. She creates a space for her students to feel supported and inspired, allowing for her students to go deeper in their own practice.

Kristen Haynes, the co-founder of Brooklyn Heights Pilates's background is in Classical Pilates. Her mentor Kenny Ortega was choreographing for Michael Jackson and Barbra Streisand when she first started working for him. Kristen was fortunate to travel the globe and learn the method as it applied to big onstage performances and more importantly, the efficient movement of everyday life. After settling in NYC (and a detour into film development) she completed her training and certification at Core Pilates NYC and has never looked back. I co-founded Brooklyn Heights Pilates in October of 2016.

Kelsey O’Connell is the founder of feminine luxe activewear brand, Belle Force. Shortly after moving to NYC to pursue her fashion design career, she discovered boutique fitness classes and immediately fell in love. Having danced for years growing up, the fitness scene offered a similarly structured workout and the community she missed from her dance team days. What she couldn’t find was functional activewear that made her feel supported, yet sophisticated – something that matched her classic aesthetic. So after 10 years designing in the fashion industry, Kelsey left to launch her brand, marrying her loves of fashion, fitness, and dance.
