Born and raised in Orlando, Florida Britney moved to New York City on a whim. The fast pace of the city meshed perfectly with her inner drive. Britney's love for fitness, health and anatomy determined her area of study through college. She graduated from The Florida State University with her Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science.
Fitness has always been a priority in Britney's life. After growing up a competitive gymnast, she later transitioned to dance and lacrosse. During her time at FSU she picked up yoga and fell in love. Continuing her need for knowledge after graduating, she became certified through Yoga Alliance at the 200-hr level and later went on to study for her NASM Personal Training Exam. Incorporating her dance and gymnastics background you can expect a fun, dynamic sequence using muscles you didn't know existed.
Britney also coaches USAG Gymnastics at NYC Elite. With her love for an active lifestyle Britney hopes to change the lives of children and adults with fitness and a positive attitude. You can find her teaching at Fithouse and on NEOU!
A little bit more on her signature class, MOVE featured on NEOU:
Movement with intention. Do what feels good for the body. Growing up a competitive gymnast, flexibility and strength have always been incorporated into Britney’s workouts. In MOVE, you can expect a dynamic flow that has a similar feel to yoga stretching, while including body- shaping and body-weight conditioning from a gymnastics approach. Britney believes core strength and body weight movements are a necessary tool for overall health and wellness. Let’s MOVE.
